What is Thai herbal massage and how it helps

Thai herbal massage is a combination of two effective techniques: oil massage and the action of medicinal herbs. Steamed sachets of herbs are applied to the skin so that the active substances from the herbs are absorbed into the body.

This type of massage combines traditional Thai massage techniques with the use of hot herbal sachets. These bags are filled with a blend of over 70 medicinal herbs that have anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiseptic properties.

It is a very aromatic, fragrant full body massage lasting at least 90 minutes, during which your body and mind will be perfectly relaxed.

This massage is based on the principles of traditional Thai medicine, which sees the body as a whole and seeks to achieve a balance between physical and mental health.

The masseuse will start with an oil massage of the whole body, which will relax you pleasantly. Your muscles and skin will be prepared for the effects of the enclosed herbal sachets.

2. Connecting Herbal Packets

The masseuse applies steamed herbal sachets to the body at a temperature of approximately 60 degrees. You relax, enjoy the pleasant warmth and breathe in the herbal scent.

3. Relax and regenerate in the comfort of your home

After the massage, we recommend increased rest and increased fluid intake so that the released toxins can be effectively flushed out of the body.

Traditional Thai herbal massage culminates with the application of hot steam bags (Lok Prakob) filled with a herbal mixture of more than seventy aromatic and medicinal Thai herbs on the body. The active ingredients from the herbal mixture are released into the body during the Thai massage, stimulating blood circulation, relieving muscle tension and treating joint stiffness.

Aromatic substances released from the beds of herbs on the body are effective for mental relaxation and are an effective remedy for colds. For example, turmeric is also found in the herbal mixture, which in traditional Thai massage treats skin problems, firming and softening the skin.
